THE STARFISH EXCHANGE
"... it made a difference for that one!"
HOW IT WORKS
For the Starfish Story we use a our own version of the parable "The Star Thrower" by Loren Eiseley.
During the Exchange, People are asked to write a name on a Starfish magnet of a person they care about. (Arts and crafts supplies are made available to personalize the Starfish)
After personalizing their own button magnet each participant is then asked to “Cast” (drop) their Starfish into the “Ocean” (a decorated bag), to symbolize the fact that we all let our loved ones go off into the world of the unknown where we must rely on Strangers around them to keep them safe, respected and cared for. Likewise each individual is them asked to adopted a different Starfish from the ocean that they are then to care for as they expect others to care for their loved one.
Each intention and action sets a tone, and bit by bit creates the world all our Starfish will inherit. Starfish Casters choose to embrace the responsibility of creating the world they wish their loved ones to live in, through
frequent purposeful action.
The Starfish Caster Exchange is for ALL AGES!
